Membership Holds for Planned Absence

There are some instances where memberships can be placed "On Hold" for planned absences.  Here's the skinny on how that works...

  • Planned absences are available on multi-month (quarterly, biannual, or annual) Unlimited plans.  With multi-month 3x/wk or 4x/wk plans you have the ability to move classes around at your leisure.  You can therefore manage your classes in your remaining time before expiration.  If you have travel or absence planned before purchasing your plan then you can factor the absence in and purchase a 3x/wk instead of a 4x/wk plan and still have most of your weeks contain 4 classes.
  • Only planned absences are allowed.  We cannot and therefore do not, apply holds retroactively.  Please don't ask us to turn the clock back because you forgot to ask.
  • Absences must be requested in writing. Text, FB message, or email are all accepted.  Please don't yell "Can you put my account on hold" at the Coach before running out to your car and expect them to remember.  We need any staff member to be able to react to the message, hence, it needs to leave a paper trail.
  • Holds must be a minimum of 7 days and can be up to a maximum of 21 days.  If you have a whole month of planned absence then you should have considered that at the time of purchase.  Holding people stagnant in the system costs us money.

For clarification:

  • Monthly plans cannot be held.  You need to consider this at the time you purchase your plan.  If you get injured and it's our fault (ie your injury is caused by, our negligence), we'll hold it at our cost.  If you get injured as a result of something you do (bad form, bad reps, accidental, injury sustained outside of the gym, running in the dark) then that's on you.  Sorry, but that's only fair.  Everyone should value the notion of personal responsibility.
  • Unlimited plans are the only ones that can be held.

Please consider the characteristics of your potential plan before you buy it.  Extra administration time can prove crushing to a business of this size.  Thanks for considering this and helping us keep the memberships costs minimized for everyone.

Cheers,
